The Nokta Impact Pro is a multi-frequency VLF detector for searchers who like to match the frequency to the ground. The Pro package adds extra coil sizes, and a single model covers both the standard and Pro configurations.
Lower frequency for larger or deeper targets, higher frequency for small coins and fine jewellery. On the red, iron-rich soils of the Copperbelt, trying each setting is a quick way to see which gives the cleanest signal.
Power comes from 4 AA batteries, alkaline or rechargeable, which are easy to find in Kitwe, Lusaka or Livingstone. Audio goes to wired headphones through a 1/4 inch jack. The coils are waterproof DD. Please note: follow Zambian rules, get the landowner's permission, and do not search protected heritage sites.
